Job summary

Snap-on is seeking a Hydraulic Repair Technician to join our team. This role provides on- and off-site support, repairing pumps, valves, and cylinders and testing hydraulic systems per customer requests to ensure equipment reliability.

You will read schematics, interpret diagrams, and perform calibration with precision. Strong troubleshooting, math and science skills, and clear written and verbal communication are essential. A HS diploma or GED and 5+ years in hydraulic repairs are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of hydraulic repair/rebuild experience.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams and technical charts.
• Valid driver’s license and a solid understanding of mechanical/hydraulic principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability; good math/science skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair pumps, valves, and cylinders per customer requests.
• Test and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders; service equipment.
• Use measuring devices, calipers, torque tools and hand tools.
• Test and certify rental and other equipment as required.
• Perform on-site maintenance and repair to customer equipment.
• Provide technical support across departments and customers as needed.
• Coordinate quoting and billing with operations; maintain records of service activity.
• Attend certification classes and keep shop organized and safe.
