Job summary

Bosch Rexroth, dba HydraForce, Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to lead hydraulic solution design for mobile and industrial equipment. You will evaluate customer needs, select products, and develop hydraulic systems and integrated circuits.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate across design, product management, manufacturing, and quality, and provide hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and field support to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or related engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years in hydraulics, mobile or industrial equipment.
• Experience leading complex customer applications and guiding stakeholders.
• Strong reading of hydraulic schematics and symbols.
• Experience designing Hydraulic Integrated Circuits (HICs).
• Ability to document findings in technical reports and presentations.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues independently.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Proven mentoring and guidance of junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand requirements and objectives.
• Review system requirements and recommend hydraulic products.
• Design Hydraulic Integrated Circuits (HICs) and system solutions per specs.
• Create hydraulic schematics, layouts, and documentation.
• Lead complex customer applications from concept to validation.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support.
• Conduct testing and analyze performance data; prepare reports.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Mgmt, Manufacturing, QA, Purchasing, and Sales.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and support teams.
