Job summary

Bosch Rexroth in Lincolnshire, IL, seeks an Applications Engineer to partner with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to develop hydraulic solutions that meet application requirements. The role requires 3+ years in hydraulics, strong ability to read hydraulic schematics, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in hydraulics or related fields.
• Experience supporting customers with technical troubleshooting and solution development.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and schematics.
• Experience analyzing engineering data and producing reports.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand requirements and objectives.
• Review system requirements and recommend hydraulic products and solutions.
• Design and develop hydraulic integrated circuits (HICs) and system solutions.
• Create and interpret hydraulic schematics and documentation.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and technical support.
• Conduct testing, analyze performance data, and prepare reports.
• Support product integration, validation, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Mgmt, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Sales to resolve challenges.
• Communicate technical concepts to customers, sales and engineering teams.
• Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support customer visits, field evaluations, and trade shows.
• Stay aware of industry trends and emerging hydraulic applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
