Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineering Subject Matter Expert (Engineer 4) to support the MDA NGE program. You will provide technical oversight for secure, resilient hybrid multi‑cloud networking, DDI governance, and cross‑domain integration in DoD environments.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, CISSP, and extensive experience across AWS, Azure, and on‑prem VMware NSX. A strong background in security architectures and vendor orchestration is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of engineering or IT architectural experience, or a Bachelor's with 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience architecting enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions using Infoblox in hybrid clouds.
• Experience designing, deploying, and securing enterprise networks across AWS, Azure, and on‑prem VMware VCF/NSX environments.
• Experience designing, integrating, and accrediting network transport and boundary security in classified DoD environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with current eligibility (TS/SCI) and DoD 8570/IAT-III or IASAE-II requirements.
• Active CISSP certification.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority in architectural reviews for DDI, DNS/DHCP, and IPAM against NGE and DoD Zero Trust requirements.
• Provide architectural direction for hybrid enterprise networking across AWS, Azure, and on‑prem VMware environments.
• Design end‑to‑end network transport, routing, and multi‑cloud connectivity with resilience.
• Govern Infoblox DDI as ASOT with DNSSEC, split‑horizon DNS, and automated IP management.
• Oversee integration of NGE enclaves with DODNET boundaries and DISA CAP compliance.
• Guide SASE, micro‑segmentation, and firewalling aligned with Thunderdome standards.
• Direct F5 BIG-IP and Palo Alto firewalls for Layer 7 inspection and Zero Trust enforcement.
• Support VMware NSX networking features including distributed firewalling and auto IP provisioning.
• Evaluate cloud networking architectures and automate routing between cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Lead technical exchange meetings with Cisco, Versa, VMware, Infoblox, F5, and Palo Alto Networks.
• Serve as escalation authority for complex network integration and cross‑domain connectivity issues.
• Translate DoD leadership requirements into secure technical solutions compliant with DoD standards.
