CJM Property Maintenance is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to advance into a leadership and mentoring role while remaining hands-on in the field. You will diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot complex HVAC systems in commercial settings and demonstrate teaching and coaching to junior technicians.

Ideal candidates excel at explaining concepts, guiding others, and building a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial HVAC experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• The ability to work independently and confidently in the field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, electrical components, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine interest in teaching and developing others.
• The ability to explain technical concepts in a way that makes sense to different experience levels.
• A leadership mindset and willingness to take ownership.
• A passion for the HVAC trade and pride in doing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in commercial environments.
• Serve as a technical resource and leader for our HVAC technicians.
• Train and mentor newer and developing technicians in the field.
• Teach proper diagnostic, troubleshooting, installation, and repair techniques.
• Conduct hands-on training and help technicians develop their technical skills.
• Ride along with technicians and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Help establish and maintain HVAC training standards and best practices.
• Assist leadership in identifying skill gaps and developing training plans.
• Lead by example when it comes to safety, quality, professionalism, and customer service.
• Help troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and support technicians when they encounter difficult calls.
• Share your knowledge and experience to help create a culture of continuous learning.
• Continue performing hands-on work while gradually taking on additional leadership responsibilities.
