Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems while guiding teammates on technical questions. You will interact with homeowners to explain issues, present repair options, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

A minimum of three years of experience is required. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and ongoing learning to stay current with technology and codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech training preferred.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train teammates on HVAC issues and procedures.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance to improve reliability, efficiency and safety.
• Use testing equipment to verify proper operation after service.
• Document findings, work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software.
• Explain issues and solutions clearly to customers, and discuss options.
