Job summary

Aire Serve South Austin is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Austin, TX. This role offers the opportunity to advance your HVAC expertise while working for a company that values skilled tradespeople and rewards hard work.

You will lead by example, diagnose complex system issues, install, maintain and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems, and mentor junior technicians while delivering top-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems and controls.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical HVAC issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple service calls.
• NATE certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential and/or commercial HVAC systems including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system failures and mechanical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and service agreements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior HVAC technicians in the field.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system issues, repairs, and recommendations.
