Job summary

Southern Home Services in Austin, TX is seeking a dynamic HVAC Lead Install Technician to oversee residential installation projects, upgrades and replacements. You’ll lead a team of Install Helpers, coordinate on-site work, and ensure safe, high‑quality service delivery.

You must have 2+ years HVAC install experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer service. You will train staff, manage tools and inventory, and communicate clearly with homeowners to ensure

Qualifications

2+ years HVAC install experience, ideally residential market
Valid driver’s license with clean record
Holds valid EPA certification for compliance
Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Proactive and enthusiastic with commitment to quality work
Exceptional customer service and client needs focus
Professional interaction with all levels in the organization
Flexible and collaborative in dynamic environments

Responsibilities

Install, upgrade, and/or replace HVAC systems in residential homes with precision.
Train and mentor Install Helpers on job sites and in the shop.
Lead customer communications and ensure satisfaction.
Maintain organized tools, parts, and vehicle.
Ensure safety and OSHA alignment on sites.
Handle physical tasks including lifting over 50 pounds.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Additional duties as assigned.
