Job summary

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to operate, maintain, and optimize HVAC and building environmental systems across multiple facilities. You will troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues, mentor Facilities staff, and ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety in clinical and support environments.

The role requires 10+ years in HVAC, EPA Universal Certification, and strong BAS/DDC knowledge; travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; HVAC apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
• HVAC and healthcare facility experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex HVAC failures and implement long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, and optimize HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple sites.
• Mentor Facilities staff in HVAC operation, preventive maintenance, and controls.
