Job summary

UT MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Management RAF South Campus. The role covers maintenance, repairs, and preventive work across campus building systems with a focus on BAS and HVAC control responsibilities.

Ideal candidates bring 5 years in crafts (HVAC/plumbing/electrical) and strong communication, documentation, and vendor coordination skills to ensure safe, reliable facilities supporting patient care and research.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 5 years experience in one or more crafts (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on equipment, buildings, and utility systems under limited supervision.
• Coordinate workflow among technicians and serve as vendor contact.
• Respond to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Maintain records of materials, jobs, labor hours, and other pertinent information.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and inspect contractor work.
