Job summary

Thermosystems, a Daikin group company, seeks an HVAC Technician in Des Moines, IA. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot advanced HVAC equipment, and start-up systems on site. The role requires diagnosing complex issues, wiring and brazing tasks, and coordinating with building owners to ensure proper operation.

The position offers on-site work with opportunities to use advanced control systems, training, and safety compliance while supporting premium HVAC solutions for customers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with HVAC certificate.
• 5+ years related experience; or 7+ years; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• State license or certifications as required by the market.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of HVAC equipment and on-site start-up procedures.
• Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring; diagnose and troubleshoot.
• Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
• Educate customers on proper use of equipment and maintenance schedules.
• Document actions on the jobsite for project reports; assist in demonstrations for owners.
