Job summary

Thermosystems, a Daikin group company, seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain and service commercial HVAC systems in the Des Moines area. You will diagnose, repair, and install equipment, wire and program controls, and educate customers on proper operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with an HVAC certificate.
5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ years of related experience.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
State license or certifications as required by the market.
EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance of all HVAC and applied equipment and on-site start-up procedures.
Repair and replace defective equipment, components or wiring; diagnose, troubleshoot, pipefit and braze.
Conduct warranty service applications by inspecting and testing systems.
Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals.
Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
Document actions taken on the jobsite for project reports; maintain safety and OSHA compliance.
