Job summary

Thermosystems, a Daikin group member, seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain and service commercial HVAC equipment, including refrigerant systems and controls. The role requires diagnosing issues, pipefitting, brazing, and on-site start-up, with strong safety practices and customer communication.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in HVAC and 5+ years of increasing responsibility, plus a valid license and EPA Universal Certification when required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with an HVAC certificate.
• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• State license or certifications as required by the market.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of all HVAC & applied equipment and on-site start-up procedures.
• Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring; diagnose, troubleshoot, pipefitting, and brazing.
• Conduct warranty service applications by inspecting and testing systems for functionality.
• Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals.
• Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
• Document actions taken on the jobsite for project reports.
