Seasoned senior-level HVAC technician to drive MEP systems in large-scale commercial construction projects. Data center experience strongly preferred. Field-focused leadership role centered on installation, startup, coordination, and quality assurance of mechanical HVAC systems within integrated MEP builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems including air handlers, chillers, cooling towers, VAVs, ductwork, and controls.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and general contractor teams for seamless MEP integration and conflict‑free execution.
- Interpret and mark‑up construction drawings, schematics, and BIM/Revit models on‑site.
- Direct junior technicians, enforce safety standards, and maintain tight project schedules.
- Conduct system inspections, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure compliance with ASHRAE, IMC, and project specifications.
- Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and final closeout documentation.
Real‑world expertise and results are non‑negotiable.
Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial HVAC experience; data center experience projects highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of MEP coordination and construction sequencing.
- Proficient with piping, insulation, startup procedures, TAB support, and field testing.
- Proven leadership mentoring crews and managing daily field operations.
- Valid Texas HVAC license (Contractor or Master) strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and work from Revit/BIM models in the field.
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
