Job summary

Rent Prosper in Orlando, FL is actively seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to service our single-family rental homes and other properties. You will run residential air conditioning calls across Orlando, performing troubleshooting, repairs, and installations while using a company vehicle during work hours.

The role emphasizes a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rare on-call after hours for true emergencies. A strong focus on residents and quality service is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of residential HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and full system installations.
• Experience with older and varied HVAC systems (R-22, R-410A, straight cool, heat pump).
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive daily.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues on older residential systems.
• Repair, remove, and replace: coils, Freon, compressors, fans, capacitors, drain lines, and more.
• Full system installations including air handlers and compressors when needed.
• Maintain service records with before/after photos and itemized receipts.

We're a locally owned Orlando real estate brokerage and property management company looking for a skilled Senior HVAC Technician to join our Single Family Rentals team. You'll be driving a company vehicle across Orlando running air conditioning service calls on our portfolio of single family homes, townhomes, condos, and duplexes.

HVAC is all we need from you. Everything else is a bonus.

What You'll Be Doing

Air conditioning is your primary focus every day. Residential service calls across Orlando — troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing older systems across a variety of brands and models.

HVAC and Air Conditioning

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues on older residential systems (10+ years old, various brands and models)
• Repair, remove, and replace: coils, Freon, compressors, fans, capacitors, drain lines, and more
• Full system installations including air handlers and compressors when needed
• Experience with R-22, R-410A, straight cool, and heat pump systems

Other Skills Are a Plus. Not Required.

Daily Requirements

• Log time in and time out for all jobs
• Before and after photos of every repair
• List all materials used and submit receipts
• Positive attitude every single day. Do the right thing every time.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of residential HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and full system installations
• Experience with older and varied HVAC systems (R-22, R-410A, straight cool, heat pump, etc.)
• EPA Certification required
• Valid driver's license required (your own transportation to and from work each day)
• Comfortable with significant daily driving as a core part of your workday
• Comfortable with a pre-employment background screening
• Repair mindset — you diagnose and fix. You don't upsell.
• Positive communicator who takes pride in taking care of residents
