Job summary

Axsom Air in Louisiana is seeking an HVAC Service Technician who blends technical service with sales to improve energy efficiency for customers. You diagnose, repair, and maintain systems while identifying opportunities for upgrades and new equipment, delivering value-driven solutions and building lasting relationships.

You will work with dispatch and sales to schedule visits, meet personal sales goals, and comply with industry standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; EPA certification required.
• 2+ years of HVAC service experience and direct-to-home sales experience.
• Strong sales, customer service, and closing skills; excellent communication.
• Fluent in English; basic computer skills; valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Engage customers in conversations about improvements or upgrades and close sales.
• Identify and present HVAC product and service recommendations based on needs.

As anHVAC Service Technicianyou will play a key role in providing exceptional service while alsoidentifyingand recommending HVAC solutions that improve the performance and energy efficiency of our customers' systems. This is not your typical technician role—it'sabout offering value-driven solutions, ensuring customers’ systems run at peak performance, and closing sales that make sense for the customer’s needs.

You'llcombine your HVACexpertisewith sales techniques toidentifyopportunities for service upgrades, system replacements, and other solutions that enhance the overall customer experience. Your goal? To deliver excellent service while building long-lasting relationships and growing the business.

Essential Job Functions

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainHVAC systems

• Ensure all workcomplies withindustry standards and company protocols

• Engage customers in meaningful conversations about their HVAC systems, educating them on potential improvements, upgrades, or repairs that willbenefitthemin the long run

• Identifyand present HVAC product and service recommendations based on customer needs and system analysis. Close sales for system upgrades, new equipment installations, and preventative maintenance plans.

• Establish rapport and trust with customers by offering tailored solutions, handling objections with professionalism, and providing clear, honest advice.

• Generate new business opportunities through customer referrals, follow-ups, and actively seeking potential service or upgrade opportunities while on the job.

• Work closely with our dispatch and sales teams to ensuretimelyscheduling and seamless follow-up on leads or job opportunities.

• Meet and exceed personal sales goals whilemaintaininghigh standardsof technical service.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

• EPA

• 2+ years of HVAC Service experience

• 2+ years of proven success in selling direct to homeowners via in-home presentation

• Strong sales, customer service, and closing skills

• Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills

• Assertive and confident personality

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and makeappropriate decisions

• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks accurately

• Commitment to company values

• Ability to climb into and through attics and crawl spaces

• Ability to work outside and in extreme temperatures

• Must have a clean driving record.

• Basic computer skills

• Reliable & punctual attendance

• Ability to be flexible in working a variable schedule including evenings and rotational weekends

• Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in the English language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Service Titan experience

Compensation & Hours

• Pay: Hourly ($25-$35) + Commissions

• Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible start and end times depending on business needs)

• Days: Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
