Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our Service Delivery team in the United States. You will install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial and critical-environment HVAC systems in cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare, and other high-impact environments.

The ideal candidate diagnoses complex HVAC issues, works with controls and building management systems, and communicates findings to customers professionally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial or critical-environment HVAC systems.
• Experience with HVAC controls and building management systems.
• EPA Section 608 certification; universal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial and critical-environment HVAC systems, including AHUs, chillers, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and related equipment.
• Perform advanced mechanical diagnostics, identify root causes, and complete high-quality repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems using field data, system readings, and information provided by other technicians or customers.
• Work with HVAC controls and building management systems to diagnose equipment and system issues.
• Serve as a professional, client-facing technical resource and clearly communicate findings, repairs, and recommendations.
• Respond to service calls, including time-sensitive and after-hours requests as needed.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and ensure work meets applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with controls technicians, service leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with HVAC technology, cleanroom standards, and industry best practices.
