Job summary

Envelop Critical Environments seeks an Operations Manager to lead HVAC and controls projects in laboratories, healthcare, and critical spaces. You will oversee installation, commissioning, and field teams, ensuring quality installations, safety, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating estimating, planning, scheduling, and client communications while mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-functional efforts with engineering and service teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC controls installation, commissioning, and field service.
• 1+ year in a leadership or management role.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and mentor field staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and verification of HVAC and control systems in critical environments.
• Support estimating, pre-construction planning, scheduling, and customer coordination.
• Assign and manage field work to ensure projects meet scope, design, specs, and budget.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical and control system performance.
• Conduct and validate functional testing of control systems and equipment.
• Coordinate turnover deliverables including O&M manuals and as-builts.
• Conduct owner training and coordinate warranty follow-up with service.
• Lead field technicians and mentor team, ensuring safety and quality.
