Job summary

Service Experts in Champaign, IL, seeks an HVAC technician to diagnose, service, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems. You will interact with customers, promote services, and ensure satisfaction while performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in HVAC, EPA/safety certifications, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. A valid driver’s license is required with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 2+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification required.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant and duct systems.
• Proficient in starting up and balancing airflow and aligning belts/pulleys.

Responsibilities

• Works under general supervision to perform residential and/or light commercial service and maintenance calls.
• Diagnoses and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional manner.
• Diagnoses and services heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
• Completes routine maintenance and equipment cleaning; delivers/removes parts and collects payments.
