Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Service Technician III in Tampa, FL, onsite. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and heat pumps, leading rebuilds and mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities include documenting work, managing warranties and service reports, and ensuring safe, compliant operation while interacting with customers and regional trainers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance for commercial HVAC equipment
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits of commercial HVAC equipment and mentor Levels I and II technicians
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and related reports in a timely manner
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent premature breakdowns and callbacks
• Analyze chiller trend data to optimize performance and efficiency
• Provide customer status updates before, during, and after service calls
