Job summary

Service Experts in Fairfax, VA seeks an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose and service residential and light commercial systems under minimal supervision. You will troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, and related equipment, communicate with customers, and promote service offerings while ensuring quality workmanship.

The role requires EPA and safety certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with additional training and 4+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification required.
Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by laws for the geographical work area.
EPA and safety certifications required.
Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical/refrigerant/duct systems.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic and service work on residential and/or light commercial HVAC equipment.
Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems in a courteous, professional, timely manner.
Inspects equipment and performs diagnostics to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
Delivers and removes parts and equipment needed to complete service work.
Maintains accurate records and communicates status to dispatch.
Promotes products and services to customers and collects payment as needed.
