Cardinal Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a team that values craftsmanship and customer care in Southern Wisconsin. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of HVAC systems and educate customers on options and maintenance plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Residential HVAC Service Experience.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass an MVR.
• On-call rotation availability.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry best practices.
• Experience in repairs, maintenance, and customer-facing service work.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Navigate crawlspaces and attics as needed.
• Educate customers and provide repair and replacement options.
• Present financing and maintenance plan options.
• Ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Meet and exceed service and revenue goals.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and generates referrals.
• Partner with customer service and dispatch teams to ensure success.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and job site.
• Participate in training, meetings, and company events.
• Mentor and train apprentices.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
