Job summary

Cardinal Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a team that values craftsmanship and customer care. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, climbing into crawlspaces and attics as needed, and presenting options to homeowners.

The role requires 3+ years of residential HVAC service, valid driver's license, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Residential HVAC Service Experience Required.
• Valid Driver's License and able to pass an MVR.
• Availability for on-call rotation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, airflow, refrigeration principles, and electrical troubleshooting.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local HVAC codes and industry best practices.
• Experience performing repairs, maintenance, and customer-facing service work.
• Clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and testing on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Navigate crawlspaces and attics as needed.
• Educate customers and provide repair and replacement options.
• Present financing and maintenance plan options.
• Ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
• Meet and exceed service and revenue goals.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and generates referrals.
• Partner with customer service and dispatch teams to ensure success.
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and job site.
• Participate in training, meetings, and company events.
• Mentor and train apprentices.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Keep your truck inventory up to date and properly complete paperwork
