Swift Air Mechanical is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to lead advanced diagnostics, control wiring, and air balancing for commercial systems in Indianapolis. You will mentor junior techs and interface with clients, delivering quality service and energy-efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong reading of schematics and BAS interfaces, with a commitment to safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal).
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, control diagrams, and airflow specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; able to work independently.
• Excellent customer interaction and communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment (RTUs, split systems, VRF/VRV, boilers, air handlers, VAV, exhausts).
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, ladder logic, and sequence-of-operation documentation.
• Interface with BAS; troubleshoot communication issues and verify sequences of operation.
• Ensure work meets local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
• Mentor junior technicians and document service reports and recommendations.
• Interact with facility managers and clients to communicate findings and provide recommendations.
