Job summary

EnviromaticSystems in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers and boilers. You will work independently and participate in on-call rotations.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams, and the use of diagnostic software such as TraneTechView. You will train junior technicians and complete service documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and repair commercial systems.
• Experience with chillers and boilers preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with BAS controls and HVAC software.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify needed repairs.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and airflow issues.
• Service rooftops, split systems, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, and hydronics.
• Use diagnostic software for troubleshooting and component replacement.
• Read manuals and technical documents; document service activities.
• Respond to calls during on-call rotations and train junior technicians.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle; ensure safety policies.

TheSeniorHVACTechnicianwillservice,troubleshoot,repair,andmaintaincommercialHVACequipment.ThisrolerequiresstrongHVACtroubleshootingskillsandtheabilitytoworkindependently.Thetechnicianwillparticipateintheon-callrotationandmustbeabletodiagnoseandservicecommercialchillersandboilers.

EssentialDuties&Responsibilities

• Service,troubleshoot,maintain,andrepaircommercialHVACequipment.

• Provideguidanceandtrainingtojuniortechniciansasneeded.
• Completeservicedocumentationandcommunicaterepairrecommendationstocustomers.
• Maintaincompanytools,equipment,andservicevehicle.
• FollowOSHA,EPA,companysafetypolicies,andapplicablecodes.
• StaycurrentonHVACequipmentandmanufacturertraining.

PreferredQualifications

• AssociateDegreeorTradeCertificateinHVAC/RTechnologypreferred.
• Ten(10)ormoreyearsofcommercialHVACserviceandrepairexperiencepreferred.
• EPASection608UniversalCertificationpreferred.
• NATECertification,HVAC/MechanicalContractorLicense,andOSHA10-Houror30-HourSafetyCardpreferred.

RequiredOn-CallCapability

• Mustbeabletoindependentlytroubleshoot,diagnose,service,andrepaircommercialchillersandboilersaspartofthecompany’son-callrotation.

Knowledge&Skills

• StrongknowledgeofcommercialHVACsystems,includingRTUs,heatpumps,compressors,chillers,boilers,andBAScontrols.
• Strongelectrical,mechanical,refrigeration,andHVACtroubleshootingskills.
• AbilitytousestandardHVACtoolsandchillerdiagnosticsoftware,includingprogramssuchasTraneTechView.
