Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc is seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, and rooftops. The role requires diagnosing issues, interpreting schematics, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety.

Candidates should have a valid Florida driver license, relevant industry certifications, and be capable of working overtime or on-call.

Qualifications

Hold aFL driver license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Obtain and maintain all required industry certifications
Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC equipment
Basic computer skills
Able to explain technical information to non-technical customers
Positive self-starter who is motivated, coachable, and flexible
Willing to work overtime or on-call shifts as needed to support customer and company needs

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures and diagnose proper repairs on commercial HVAC equipment, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company standards

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, and related mechanical equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise to diagnose system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs that ensure optimal system performance and reliability. The technician interprets schematics and technical documentation, applies industry best practices, and maintains compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Physical Requirements

During a 10-hour workday, must be able to:

Visually identify wiring by color
Lift/carry up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Stand, kneel, bend, climb, squat, and reach above shoulder for extended periods.
Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulations.
Safely climb ladders up to 12 feet and work at elevated heights when required.
Safely navigate uneven surfaces.
Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.) and in tight or confined spaces when required.

Work Environment:

Field-based position with regular travel to job site locations.
