Job summary

EP MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGIES INC. in El Paso, TX, is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager/Field Supervisor to lead the service department and a team of technicians.

This hands-on role combines fieldwork with office leadership to ensure high-quality service for residential and light commercial systems. You will manage daily operations, coach technicians, coordinate with installation, sales, dispatch and office staff, and uphold safety procedures and codes.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience is required.
• Strong understanding of residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to lead and hold a team accountable.
• Comfortable working both in the office and in the field.
• Valid driver's license.
• EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily HVAC service operations.
• Supervise, support, and coach service technicians.
• Assist technicians with troubleshooting and difficult service calls.
• Monitor scheduling, dispatch, workflow, and technician productivity.
• Perform quality-control inspections and help reduce callbacks.
• Ensure service tickets, estimates, photos, and job documentation are completed properly.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and assist with resolutions.
• Review repair and replacement recommendations.
• Coordinate with installation, sales, dispatch, and office staff.
• Monitor department sales, expenses, labor efficiency, and overall performance.
• Conduct technician meetings and ongoing training.
• Ensure company safety procedures, policies, and applicable codes are followed.
• Assist with hiring, training, evaluations, and technician development.
• Ensure technicians have the tools, materials, and support needed to perform their jobs successfully.
