Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Mechanical Engineering to ensure technical compliance and drive asset reliability. You will lead troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and act as a key technical resource for Operations, particularly the HVAC department.

You will collaborate with HVAC, engineering and operations teams to evaluate assets, manage life cycle processes, and develop risk plans to prevent downtime. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in a technical/reliability engineering role preferred.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine asset maintenance plans focusing on Technical and Mechanical Standards.
• Provide specialized technical support for mechanical equipment and fixed assets (HVAC systems, boilers, pressure vessels, etc.).
• Evaluate assets with HVAC/engineering teams and manage life cycle processes.
• Develop risk management and RCA participation for mechanical system issues.
• Analyze historical data (OOR) to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain documentation of schedules, configurations, and technical references.
