Qualifikationen

• Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Aufgaben

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Configures and calibrates low ambient systems and direct digital controls to meet specifications.
• Interprets layout plans and schematics for accurate system setup and compliance with codes.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial/industrial systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtimes.
• Maintains and repairs rack systems, walk‑ins, reach‑ins, and supermarket refrigeration units.
• Leads field teams and mentors apprentices on procedures and safety.
• Drives company vehicle to service calls and coordinates with external vendors as needed.
• Participates in on‑call rotation and responds to incidents outside standard hours.
• Tracks refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure resource availability.
