Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled commercial and industrial HVAC/R Technician to join our growing team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in HVAC/R maintenance, strong BAS experience, and a proven ability to mentor junior staff.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior HVAC/R Technician to join our team. This critical role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R systems, coupled with a strong background in Building Automation Systems.

Responsibilities

• 1. Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• 2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC/R equipment and systems, and recommending suitable solutions.
• 3. Installing and configuring Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance.
• 4. Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations for HVAC/R systems and equipment.
• 5. Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement new HVAC/R systems and modifications.
• 6. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• 7. Keeping accurate records of all maintenance, inspection, and repair work for future reference.
• 8. Staying current with the latest HVAC/R technologies and industry trends, and applying this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.
• 9. Availability to work on-call and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Qualifications

• 1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair, with a strong emphasis on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• 2. Proven experience with Building Automation Systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• 3. Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior staff members, with a commitment to professional development and learning.
• 4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC/R issues.
• 5. Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertaining to HVAC/R systems and equipment.
• 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• 7. A valid HVAC/R certification or equivalent technical qualification.
• 8. Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment.
• 9. Availability to work on-call and respond to emergency situations as needed.
