Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair, with emphasis on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and commitment to professional development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC/R issues.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertaining to HVAC/R systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A valid HVAC/R certification or equivalent technical qualification.
• Physical fitness for physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy equipment.
• Availability to work on-call and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC/R equipment and systems, and recommending suitable solutions.
• Installing and configuring Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency and system performance.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations for HVAC/R systems and equipment.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement new HVAC/R systems and modifications.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Keeping accurate records of all maintenance, inspection, and repair work for future reference.
• Staying current with the latest HVAC/R technologies and industry trends, and applying this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.
