Job summary

Walmart in Kannapolis, NC seeks a Senior Technician to lead HVAC/R installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial systems. You will oversee preventive maintenance, refrigeration units, and field teams, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will manage refrigerant handling, inventory, and vendor relationships while documenting work orders and training technicians. Strong OSHA/EPA knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

3 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience or 6 years with an AAS in HVAC/R.
EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
Valid HVAC/R journeyman where required; state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Manage preventive maintenance programs and vendor relationships.
Mentor field teams and provide hands-on training; participate in on-call rotations.
Maintain documentation, logs, and reports with accuracy.
