Job summary

Walmart seeks an experienced HVAC/R technician at 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, Fredericksburg, VA. You will oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems, lead diagnostics, and manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

You will supervise field teams, mentor technicians, and ensure OSHA and EPA refrigerant compliance across commercial store environments, with on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC/rack refrigeration experience preferred.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
• Journeyman status where required; valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implements preventive maintenance and manages refrigeration units for stores.
• Trains and mentors technicians; coordinates field work and safety compliance.
