Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Project Manager in Spokane, WA to lead complex chiller projects from order through startup. You will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, and field teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks, and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Periodically you’ll drive business workflow improvements across departments. The role requires engineering with 1–3 years experience, PMI/PMP within 2 years, and strong communication and MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 1–3 years related work experience.
• PMI/PMP certification expected within 2 years of employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical material to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe Writer/Visio.

Responsibilities

• Define project schedule, scope, goals, resource requirements and deliverables.
• Plan, schedule, and track timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
• Manage project scope, financials, and manufacturing-related impacts.
• Build and grow relationships with customers and suppliers for engineered products.
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive lessons learned and best practices.
• Coach and motivate project team members and manage resources across phases.
