Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Project General Foreman to lead complex commercial and industrial installation and retrofit work from turnover to completion. You will coordinate crews, materials, schedules, and customer communications with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and project margin.

You will bridge field execution and project management, applying HVAC knowledge to guide installation quality across chillers, DX systems, AHUs, VAVs, fans, and related controls while ensuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 7+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience.
• Experience leading field installation or retrofit projects.
• Experience supervising technicians and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, retrofit work, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read diagrams, specs, and submittals.
• Familiarity with HVAC control systems.
• Experience with scheduling, labor forecasting, and basic cost control.
• Willingness to work in various environments and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews and subcontractors on HVAC installation, retrofit, and service projects.
• Plan daily work, assign manpower, and adjust resources to maintain schedule.
• Review drawings and specs to confirm installation requirements.
• Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractor activities.
• Troubleshoot field issues and keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
• Support estimating through field assessments and scope validation.
• Monitor labor, materials, and budget; flag risks early.
