Job summary

Copeland, part of Emerson, is seeking a Project Engineer in Sidney, OH to support new product development of HVAC products including fixed speed and variable speed compressors. You will guide cross-functional teams from concept through production, applying analytical methods and engineering tools.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering direction and manage projects into production.
• Support internal/external customers and cross-functional teams.
• Develop and master engineering tools and design calculators.
• Analyze value vs. cost of compression technologies.
• Apply engineering knowledge to cross-functional technical development.
• Plan development and testing with risk mitigation.
• Apply Lean principles to New Product Development.
