Job summary

Feldkamp Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex HVAC and mechanical construction projects from buy-out to closeout. You will coordinate subs, materials, and schedules, manage budgets, review plans, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects, preferably in mechanical, HVAC, or a related trade.
• Strong understanding of project buyout, scheduling, budgeting, and change order management.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management or scheduling software.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors.
• Ten plus years of experience or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project buy-out, procurement, and budget development.
• Coordinate with general contractor, field team, suppliers, and leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Manage change orders, submittals, and procurement through closeout.
• Monitor production schedule, costs, and look-ahead plans; communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Lead kickoff meetings, prepare action items, and ensure follow-up and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform monthly billings and maintain project documentation.
