Job summary

The Senior Estimator position at The Blue Collar Recruiter of Marietta leads the full estimating lifecycle for commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, including service, retrofits, and large design/build efforts. The role combines technical estimating with bid strategy, risk assessment, and negotiation authority to drive margin improvements.

Responsibilities include vendor sourcing, pre-bid analysis, and maintaining accurate estimates and pricing trends.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years HVAC and plumbing estimating experience for commercial/industrial projects.
• Proven experience estimating self-perform mechanical projects with large bid opportunities (up to $10M).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/plumbing systems, lifecycle cost analysis, and design/build leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and approve detailed cost estimates for HVAC/plumbing projects.
• Lead bid reviews, scope, risk, and resource determination.
• Direct vendor/subcontractor sourcing and pricing strategies.
• Maintain accurate cost records, benchmarking, and pricing trends.
