Job summary

Dallas College Facilities Management seeks a Senior HVAC Technician to lead and mentor a team, ensuring safe operation of HVAC, chillers, boilers, and air handling units across Dallas County campuses. You will analyze system performance, support preventive maintenance, manage budgets, and participate in projects.

Travel across campuses is required; you will document work in CMMS and contribute to safety and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; 8+ years related experience preferred.
EPA Certification required for HVAC work.
Texas driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of HVAC technicians in field work and scheduling.
Ensure safe, reliable operation of HVAC, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems across Dallas College facilities.
Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC equipment and controls.
Oversee preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements for reliability and energy efficiency.
Assist with project planning, budgeting, and prioritization of HVAC projects.
Train technicians on best practices and safety; document activities in CMMS.
Travel across Dallas County to support multiple campus locations.
