Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a lead HVAC technician responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation and cooling systems. You will supervise a team, provide technical guidance, and ensure equipment reliability in municipal facilities.

The role requires hands-on expertise, scheduling flexibility and the ability to work with electrical and plumbing support systems. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program.
• Three years of work related experience; two years of formal training.
• One year substitution rules apply for training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, operation, maintenance and major repair of HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, adjust equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Receive and complete work orders for adjustments and repairs.
• Train and assist mechanics and other personnel.
