Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Director of College HVAC Services to lead strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of all HVAC systems across its multi-campus facilities. The role focuses on reliability, energy efficiency, and asset management to support teaching and student success.

You will manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and contractors, oversee preventive maintenance, capital projects, and safety compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance sustainability

Qualifications

• Ten (10+) years of progressive experience in commercial HVAC systems, including large central plant operations.
• Minimum three (3) years of leadership experience managing multi-site HVAC or facilities operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience in capital planning, budgeting, and large-scale system replacements or upgrades.
• EPA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and leadership for all HVAC operations across Dallas College locations.
• Establish and direct the College-wide HVAC preventive maintenance and asset management programs.
• Oversee HVAC capital planning, lifecycle replacement strategies, and major system upgrades.
• Lead and develop a multi-campus HVAC organization, including supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Exercise full discretion in recruitment, hiring, mentoring, and staff development.
• Drive operational excellence with KPIs and initiatives to improve uptime and energy efficiency.
• Manage departmental budgets and vendor partnerships for HVAC services.
• Collaborate with Facilities leadership on sustainability and system optimization.
• Establish standards for HVAC design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Oversee vendor performance and safety compliance.
