Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Lead Installer to manage installation projects from start to finish. You will guide helpers, ensure quality workmanship, and keep every job safe while delivering exceptional service to clients.

You will mentor junior team members, follow company policies, and maintain neat, organized worksites. This is a growth-focused role within our employee-owned company that values integrity, ownership and service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to braze and solder equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and coworkers.
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Promote a professional, and friendly work environment with a positive attitude.
• Work hard, smart and efficiently.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers and drop cloths to protect floors during installation; keep a neat work area.
• Re-check installation aspects and use the Installation Excellence Form.
• Explain the system to the client and ensure 100% satisfaction.
• Ensure safety for self and assistant installer; monitor driving safety.
• Maintain a production level minimum as determined by management.
• Perform full system change-outs in a timely fashion as directed by management.
• Keep trucks neat and clean inside and out.
• Adhere to all company policies and codes for installation jobs.
• Other duties as assigned.
