Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking an Area Technical Specialist to act as a key technical resource for HVAC Contractors, Distributors, and Manufacturer Representatives. You will provide expert guidance via phone and email, troubleshoot VRF systems, and coordinate jobsite visits while supporting residential and commercial LG HVAC products.

Qualifications

• HVAC Vocational Diploma, Bachelor, or Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum 15-20 years’ experience in the HVAC field or in a technical support role.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience supporting LG VRF & RLC systems in a technical support role.
• Capable of managing regions and assigned service champions.
• Proven experience setting goals and executing service support strategies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in LG product line technical knowledge.
• Able to travel up to 75%.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client group.
• Ability to troubleshoot in depth service issues via phone and onsite.
• Proficiency in reading, analyzing and interpreting technical materials and writing reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional service support strategies and actions.
• Manage all aftermarket support activities within the region.
• Interface with building owners, general contractors, and service champions on technical matters.
• Provide direct technical guidance via phone, email, and case support for HVAC Contractors and Distributors.
• Read and interpret wiring schematics and refrigerant diagrams for customer communication.
• Coordinate with Technical Support and Engineering to resolve escalated issues.
• Arrange supervised technical assistance for unresolved technical issues.
• Interact with HVAC Contractors, Distributors, and Reps for jobsite coordination.
• Train customers using LG software for equipment selection and troubleshooting.
• Review VRF applications and perform load verifications as needed.
• Perform software and hardware service updates on field equipment.
• Schedule onsite service, training, and installation support for LG HVAC equipment.
• Develop training materials and conduct sessions in classroom and jobsite settings.
