Job summary

This pivotal role focuses on schematic through construction documentation, ensuring code compliance, and mentoring engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a Michigan PE, ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree, and a strong track record in commercial/industrial projects with ASHRAE/NEC standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings.
• Professional Engineer license in Michigan or ability to obtain by reciprocity.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, and NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of HVAC systems for assigned projects.
• Seal construction documents as Engineer of Record.
• Mentor junior staff and perform QA/QC reviews.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
• Perform HVAC load calculations and use energy modeling tools.
