Job summary

Sun Glow Inc. is seeking an HVAC Design Build Estimating Professional in Portland, OR to drive commercial project opportunities from concept to completion. This full-time role combines estimating, design, and customer relationship management to fuel growth in our expanding commercial division.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in HVAC estimating and design, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit. Expect a base salary plus commission, plus strong benefits as part of a growing team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC estimating experience.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC design or project engineering experience.
• Experience preparing competitive commercial bid proposals.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and installation practices.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, or similar software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and mechanical plans.
• Experience with load calculations, equipment sizing, duct design, and mechanical codes.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop new commercial HVAC opportunities with contractors, builders, and business owners.
• Design practical, energy-efficient HVAC solutions for commercial projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Perform site evaluations and gather field information.
• Create equipment selections, conceptual layouts, and system designs using industry software.
• Prepare accurate proposals, budgets, and bid packages.
• Work with manufacturers and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure a smooth transition from estimating through project completion.
