Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Sr. Operating Engineer / HVAC Tech for our Whitsett, NC facility.

The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing critical building systems in a data center environment, applying extensive HVAC knowledge to ensure reliability and tenant satisfaction. The job involves working with chilled water systems, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, and multi-brand BMS platforms, while expanding skills in plumbing, carpentry and building automation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC trade experience.
• Data Center operations experience.
• Familiar with chilled water systems, cooling towers, chillers and boilers.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, VFDs and VAVs.
• Experience with multiple BMS platforms.
• Universal CFC certification (required).
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Control daily operation of all mechanical equipment in the plant.
• Perform maintenance on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, and Control systems.
• Monitor tenant services, preventative maintenance, inventory, and contractor maintenance.
• Operate refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and related components.
• Process tenant service requests accurately and promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Monitor the quality of work by outside contractors.
• Evaluate building systems to improve efficiency.
• Follow safety policies and participate in training programs.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts with Facilities Services.
