Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, in Concord, NC, seeks a Second Shift Lead Operating Engineer to supervise and perform skilled trades, troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring critical building operations run smoothly during the evening hours.

You will guide the facilities and housekeeping teams, manage the CMMS work orders, and maintain equipment like chillers, boilers, air handlers, and BAS controls while upholding safety standards and customer service.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on building maintenance experience.
• 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role in facilities/maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders up to 30 ft.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance across plumbing, HVAC diagnostics, electrical work, and general repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and BAS systems; respond to urgent failures.
• Execute preventative maintenance on chillers, boilers, air handlers, pumps, and control systems.
• Provide hands-on training and lead daily assignments for second shift teams.
• Manage CMMS work orders, prioritize tenant requests, document work and parts used.
• Ensure safety procedures and maintain parts inventory; participate in training.
