Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Critical Environments Operating Engineer in Charlotte, NC, onsite with a 3rd shift (11PM–7:30AM). You will operate and maintain UPS, generators, chillers, and electrical systems to ensure 100% uptime for mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring environmental controls, recording readings, and coordinating work orders while engaging with vendors and customers in a fast-paced data center setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a data center or critical facility environment.
• Experience with mission-critical building systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to document and explain technical info clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical building systems to ensure uptime and safety.
• Monitor, adjust, and maintain HVAC, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Record readings, analyze operations, and take corrective actions.
• Manage work orders in CMMS and coordinate with vendors.
• Respond to site emergencies and adhere to safety procedures.
