Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Building Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of control systems on-site.

You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through direct site interfaces and provide telemetry-driven recommendations to improve energy efficiency. You will mentor junior technicians, document work thoroughly, and communicate clearly with customers about system enhancements, retrofits and upgrades to optimize

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls and testing in multiple languages.
• Provides field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and enhancements to existing equipment.
• Mentors control technicians and service technicians on building automation activities.
• Prepares field sketches, drawings and bill of materials for projects.
• Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction and clear communication on site.
