Job summary

AMS Mechanical Services of Indianapolis LLC is seeking a Commercial/Industrial HVAC Construction Manager to oversee multiple projects from the office and on job sites. This full-time role emphasizes safe, timely, and profitable completion while coordinating subcontractors and material procurement.

You will lead a team, develop plans to ensure projects meet safety, time, cost, and customer-satisfaction targets, and work closely with field staff.

Qualifications

• 10 years in a construction environment with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Or a 2-4 year technical degree with at least 5 years in construction, incl. 2 years supervisory.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret plans.
• Knowledge of construction codes, labor law, OSHA requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work in the field with the team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and train a team of construction personnel.
• Develop and implement project plans to complete projects at or below cost targets while meeting safety, time, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Estimating, planning, negotiating and project management.
• Identify and select sub-contractors.
• Obtain quotes for project materials and equipment.
• Manpower planning, scheduling and training to assure adequate availability of skilled labor.
